Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Lambertville, head south on North Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bridge Street. Turn left onto Bridge Street and follow it as it becomes Route 29. Keep walking until you reach the Lambertville-New Hope Bridge. Cross the bridge, and once you arrive in New Hope, continue to follow Route 32 (also known as River Road). After about half a mile, you will reach the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad station. Take the train to Philadelphia. Once you arrive at the Philadelphia station, you can use public transportation or walk to the Perelman Building at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, located at 2525 Pennsylvania Ave.

  • Public Transit

    Start at the Lambertville train station and take the NJ Transit train towards Philadelphia. Make sure to check the schedule for train times. Once you arrive at the Philadelphia station, transfer to the SEPTA bus or subway. If using the bus, take the Route 38 to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. If using the subway, board the Broad Street Line and get off at the City Hall station. From there, transfer to the Market-Frankford Line towards Frankford. Get off at the 69th Street terminal and take the bus towards the museum. The Perelman Building is a short walk from the bus stop.

    If you're comfortable biking, rent a bicycle in Lambertville and head south on North Main Street. Continue on this road until you reach the Lambertville-New Hope Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow Route 32 (River Road) to New Hope. After approximately half a mile, you’ll find bike paths that lead you to a bike-friendly route to Philadelphia. Once you reach the city, follow the signs to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The Perelman Building is located at 2525 Pennsylvania Ave.
