Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Lambertville, head east on Bridge Street towards the Delaware River. As you reach the river, turn left and walk along the riverfront until you reach the Lambertville-New Hope Bridge. Cross the bridge into New Hope, PA. Once you’re in New Hope, continue straight onto Main Street, and follow it until you reach the New Hope-Lambertville Toll Bridge. After crossing, take a right onto River Road. Follow River Road until you reach the intersection with Route 29. Turn left onto Route 29 and continue towards Philadelphia. Once you reach the city’s edge, follow the signs to Center City, and then navigate to 20th Street. The Franklin Institute is located at 222 N 20th St, on the left.

  • Public Transit

    From Lambertville, walk to the nearest bus stop on Bridge Street. Take the NJ Transit bus 629 towards Trenton. Once you arrive at the Trenton Station, transfer to the NJ Transit train headed to Philadelphia. After about a 30-minute ride, get off at the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. From the station, you can either walk or take the Market-Frankford Line subway to 15th Street Station. Exit the subway and walk north on 15th Street until you reach 20th Street. Turn left on 20th Street, and the Franklin Institute will be on your right at 222 N 20th St.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bike, start from Lambertville and bike east on Bridge Street. Cross the Lambertville-New Hope Bridge into New Hope. Continue biking on Main Street until you reach the New Hope-Lambertville Toll Bridge. After crossing into Lambertville again, take Route 29 south towards Philadelphia. Follow the scenic route along the Delaware River, and then take the path that leads into Philadelphia. Once you enter the city, navigate to 20th Street where the Franklin Institute is located at 222 N 20th St.
