From Paterson, walk to the nearest bus stop for NJ Transit. Look for the #190 bus heading towards New York City. Board the bus and enjoy the ride, which will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. After exiting the terminal, walk to 8th Avenue and catch the A, C, or E subway line towards Uptown. Transfer at 125th Street Station, and walk west on 125th Street until you reach 253 W 125th St (Apollo Theater).

Walk to the Paterson Train Station. Take a NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line or the Main/Bergen County Line towards Hoboken or Secaucus. Transfer at Secaucus Junction to the train heading to New York Penn Station. Once you arrive at Penn Station, exit and take the A, C, or E subway line uptown to 125th Street Station. From there, walk west on 125th Street until you reach 253 W 125th St (Apollo Theater).
