Public Transportation - Bus
From Paterson, head to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Catch the NJ Transit Bus #190 towards New York City. The bus will take you across the George Washington Bridge into Manhattan. After approximately an hour, disembark at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there, exit and head to the 8th Avenue subway entrance. Take the A, C, or E subway lines downtown and get off at 14th Street station. From there, transfer to the L train towards Canarsie and get off at 8th Avenue station. Walk west for about 10 minutes to reach Chelsea Piers, Pier 62.
Train
Start at the Paterson Train Station and board a NJ Transit train on the Main/Bergen County Line towards Hoboken. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Hoboken Terminal. From Hoboken, head to the PATH train and take it to 33rd Street in Manhattan. Once you arrive, walk to the 6th Avenue subway entrance and take the L train towards Canarsie. Get off at 8th Avenue station and walk west for about 10 minutes to reach Chelsea Piers, Pier 62.
Walking
If you are close to the downtown area of Paterson, you can walk to the NJ Transit Bus terminal located at 10 Market Street. From there, take the NJ Transit Bus #190 towards New York City. Once you arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, you can walk to the subway stations or take a taxi for a quicker route to Chelsea Piers.
