    Bus

    From the Paterson Bus Terminal, take the NJ Transit bus #175 towards New York Port Authority. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop at Fort Washington Avenue/West 190th Street. Walk north on Fort Washington Avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach Center Path in Fort Tryon Park, where the Heather Garden is located.

    Train and Bus

    Head to the Paterson Train Station and take a NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line towards New York Penn Station. Get off at the Secaucus Junction and transfer to a train heading to New York Penn Station. Once you arrive at Penn Station, exit and walk to the nearby Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there, take the NJ Transit bus #175 towards New York Port Authority. Get off at Fort Washington Avenue/West 190th Street. Walk north on Fort Washington Avenue for about 10 minutes to reach Center Path in Fort Tryon Park, where the Heather Garden is located.

    Walking

    If you are near downtown Paterson, you can walk to the Paterson Museum and from there head west to the Passaic River. Follow the river north towards the Great Falls. Once you reach the Great Falls, continue walking north along the river until you reach the intersection with Route 80. Cross the highway and continue walking along the river’s edge until you reach the entrance to the George Washington Bridge. From there, it's a short bus ride or a longer walk to Fort Tryon Park, where the Heather Garden is.
