    Bus

    From Paterson, walk to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop. You can catch the #74 bus towards New York City. After approximately 25 minutes, get off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. Once you arrive at the terminal, head to the 8th Avenue exit. After exiting, walk to West 42nd Street and catch the MTA subway line (F train) towards Jamaica – 179th Street. Get off at the 2nd Avenue station. From there, walk east on 2nd Avenue until you reach Bowery. Turn left on Bowery and walk straight until you reach 235 Bowery, where the New Museum is located.

    Begin by walking to the Paterson Train Station. Take a NJ Transit train towards New York Penn Station. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Penn Station, exit the station and walk towards 7th Avenue. Take the subway (N, Q, R, or W train) from 34th Street-Herald Square station towards Astoria-Ditmars Blvd. Get off at the 8th Street-NYU station. From there, walk east on 8th Street until you reach Bowery, then turn left and walk a short distance to 235 Bowery, the New Museum.
