Walking
If you are starting from the Paterson Museum located at 2 Market St, Paterson, NJ 07501, exit the museum and head south on Market St towards Ward St. Continue straight for about 0.6 miles until you reach the intersection with Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and walk for about 0.4 miles until you reach the Paterson Transit Center. From there, you can take the NJ Transit train to Newark Penn Station. Once you arrive at Newark Penn Station, exit the station and head east on Market St towards Washington St. Turn left onto Washington St, and walk for about 0.2 miles to reach the Newark Public Library located at 5 Washington St, Newark, NJ 07102.
Public Transit (Bus)
From the Paterson Downtown area, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main St. You can catch NJ Transit bus 192 towards Newark. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop on Broad St and Washington St in Newark. Once you disembark, walk north on Washington St for about 0.2 miles, and you will arrive at the Newark Public Library at 5 Washington St, Newark, NJ 07102.
Train
From the Paterson Train Station located at 100 Market St, Paterson, NJ 07501, take a NJ Transit train on the Main/Bergen County Line towards Hoboken. Get off at Newark Penn Station after about a 15-minute ride. After exiting the train, head east on Market St towards Washington St. Turn left onto Washington St and walk for about 0.2 miles to reach the Newark Public Library at 5 Washington St, Newark, NJ 07102.
