From downtown Paterson, walk to the nearest bus stop for NJ Transit bus routes. You can take the NJ Transit bus route 190 towards New York Port Authority. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes and get off at the New York Port Authority bus terminal. Once you arrive, follow signs to the subway (A, C, or E lines) and take the subway to the World Trade Center station. After exiting, walk towards the Battery Park Ferry Terminal. Follow the signs to the Staten Island Ferry, which is a short walk away.
Train
To reach the Staten Island Ferry, you can take the NJ Transit train from Paterson Station to Hoboken Terminal. This journey takes roughly 30 minutes. Once at Hoboken, transfer to the PATH train (towards World Trade Center) and get off at the World Trade Center station. From there, walk towards the Battery Park Ferry Terminal and follow the signs to the Staten Island Ferry.
