Getting There

Bus
From Paterson, head to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop. You can take the NJ Transit bus #190 or #191 towards New York City. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. After approximately 30-40 minutes, get off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. From there, exit the terminal and walk to 8th Avenue. Take the A, C, E subway line downtown to West 4th Street Station. After you exit the subway, walk east on West 4th Street until you reach Washington Square Park.

Take the NJ Transit train from Paterson Station to Hoboken Terminal. This journey will take about 30 minutes. Once in Hoboken, transfer to the PATH train towards 33rd Street and get off at the 9th Street Station. From there, walk north on 9th Street until you reach Washington Square Park, which should take about 10-15 minutes.
