Bus
From Paterson, head to the nearest bus station, which is located at 215 McBride Ave. Take the NJ Transit Bus #76 towards 'Dover' or #11 towards 'Newark'. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the stop for 'Newark Penn Station'. Here, transfer to the PATH train service towards 'World Trade Center'. Ride the PATH train for about 20 minutes until you reach 'Exchange Place'. From Exchange Place, you can walk towards the New York Harbor, which is about a 15-minute stroll along the waterfront.

Start at the Paterson Station located at 100 Broadway. Board a NJ Transit train on the Main Line towards 'Hoboken'. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Disembark at Hoboken Terminal. From Hoboken, walk towards the waterfront and follow the signs leading to the New York Harbor, which is approximately a 10-minute walk.

If you are in downtown Paterson, you can walk towards the east side of the city. Head towards Main Street, then turn right on Market Street and continue walking until you reach the Passaic River. Follow the riverbank south for approximately 2 miles until you arrive at the vicinity of the New York Harbor.
