Car
If you are driving, start from downtown Princeton and head south on Nassau Street (NJ-27). Continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Princeton Pike. Turn left onto Princeton Pike. After approximately 0.5 miles, you will see the entrance to Institute Woods on your right. There is a small parking area available; please be aware that parking may be limited during peak visiting hours.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take the NJ Transit train to Princeton Station. From Princeton Station, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service to reach Institute Woods. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes and will cost approximately $10-15 depending on the service. Alternatively, you can take the 605 bus from the station towards West Windsor and get off at the stop closest to Princeton Pike. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Institute Woods.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Princeton. From the center of Princeton, bike south on Nassau Street, then turn left onto Princeton Pike. It is about a 3-mile ride, and you can expect it to take around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all cycling safety rules.
Walking
If you are near downtown Princeton and want to walk to Institute Woods, head south on Nassau Street and then turn left onto Princeton Pike. It is approximately a 1.5-mile walk which will take you about 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the scenery along the way and be sure to stay on the sidewalks for safety.
