Walking
From the center of Red Bank, start at the Red Bank train station. Head north on West Front Street until you reach the intersection with Maple Avenue. Turn left onto Maple Avenue and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Monmouth Street. Turn right onto Monmouth Street and walk until you reach the waterfront. Follow the path along the Navesink River, which will lead you to the ferry terminal. Take the ferry from Red Bank to Highlands. Once you arrive in Highlands, walk towards the beach area, and Battery Engle is located nearby at the northern end of the beach.
