Getting There

Walking
From the center of Red Bank, head south on Broad Street towards the train station. Once you reach the train station, take the NJ Transit train towards New York Penn Station. The trip takes approximately 1 hour. After arriving at Penn Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the subway. Take the A, C, or E subway line towards Brooklyn and get off at 59th Street – Columbus Circle. From there, transfer to the C subway line and continue north to the 72nd Street station. Exit the station and head east on 72nd Street towards Central Park. Walk through the park heading towards the east side, and you will find The Obelisk at E 81st Street.

Bus
From the center of Red Bank, walk to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop. Take the bus heading towards New York City, which makes stops along the route. The bus ride will take about 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Get off at the stop near Central Park. Once you are off the bus, walk east towards Central Park and head to E 81st Street. The Obelisk is located just inside the park.
