If you're downtown, you can catch route 66 from the Alvarado Transportation Center. Ride the bus heading east and get off at the stop closest to U.S. Rt. 66. From there, it's a short walk along U.S. Rt. 66. Follow the road signs and keep an eye out for the Musical Highway, which is located about 10 minutes on foot from the bus stop.

If you prefer to cycle, consider renting a bike from a local shop in Albuquerque. Once you have your bike, head towards Central Ave (U.S. Rt. 66).
