Getting There

  • Car

    From the main entrance of Carlsbad Caverns National Park, head southeast on the main park road. After approximately 7 miles, you'll reach the intersection with National Parks Hwy (US-62/180). Turn left onto National Parks Hwy and continue for about 3 miles. The Carlsbad Caverns National Park Headquarters will be on your right at 3225 National Parks Hwy, Carlsbad, NM 88220.

  • Public Transportation

    If you're using public transportation, note that there are limited options directly to the park. You can take a local bus (available from Carlsbad, NM) to the nearest bus stop, which is approximately 4 miles from the park entrance. From there, you can either walk or arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Carlsbad Caverns National Park Headquarters at 3225 National Parks Hwy.

  • Walking

    If you are already within the park and want to walk to the Headquarters, follow the established trails toward the Visitor Center.
