Turn right onto US-62 and walk for approximately 5 miles. Once you reach the intersection with NM-31, continue straight for another 2 miles until you arrive at the Carlsbad downtown area. From here, navigate to the bus stop on the corner of Main Street and Texas Street. Catch the local bus heading towards Temecula, which will take you to your destination.

    Begin at the Carlsbad Transit Center located at 101 South Halagueno Street. Board the bus line that heads towards Temecula. The journey will take about an hour. Once you arrive in Temecula, disembark at the closest stop to Moreno Road. From there, walk along Moreno Road heading southeast for about 0.5 miles to reach Sam Hicks Monument Park at 41970 Moreno Rd.
