Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from any location in Northwest New Mexico, head to Interstate 25 (I-25) South. Depending on your starting point, I-25 can be accessed via various highways. Once you are on I-25, continue driving south until you reach Exit 226 for Central Ave. After exiting, turn left onto Central Ave. Continue on Central Ave until you reach 10th St SW. Turn right onto 10th St SW, and you will find the ABQ BioPark Zoo at 903 10th St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Parking is available at the zoo, but note that there may be a parking fee. Make sure to check the current rates before you arrive.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take the New Mexico Rail Runner Express. Board the train at any station in Northwest New Mexico that services the Rail Runner line, and head towards Albuquerque. Disembark at the Alvarado Transportation Center in downtown Albuquerque. From there, you can catch the ABQ Ride bus route #66 or #157 that will take you to the ABQ BioPark Zoo. The bus stops near the zoo, and the fare for the bus is typically around $1.00. Be sure to check the schedule ahead of time for the most accurate travel times.

• Taxi/Rideshare

  For a more direct route, consider using a taxi or rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft. If you are in Albuquerque, simply enter 'ABQ BioPark Zoo' in your app, and the driver will take you directly to the zoo at 903 10th St SW. This option is convenient if you have luggage or are traveling with children. The cost will vary based on your starting location, but expect to pay a reasonable fare for a short trip within the city.
