To get to the Musical Highway from Sandia Peak Tramway, start by heading south on NM-556 (the road leading away from the tramway). Continue to follow NM-556 until you reach the intersection with US-85/NM-45. Turn left onto US-85/NM-45. After about 6 miles, you will reach the intersection with I-40. Merge onto I-40 West. Continue on I-40 for about 8 miles. Take exit 159 for US-66 East. After exiting, you'll be on Route 66. Continue on US-66 for approximately 4 miles.
