Car
If you're driving from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, head southeast on NM-68 S towards Española. Follow NM-68 S for about 30 miles until you reach the intersection with US-84 S. Merge onto US-84 S and continue for approximately 20 miles until you reach I-25 S. Take I-25 S towards Albuquerque for about 60 miles. Use exit 226 for NM-423/Washington St towards Albuquerque. Continue on NM-423, then merge onto I-40 W. Take exit 155A for 98th St NW. Continue on 98th St NW, then turn left onto Western Trail NW. The Petroglyph National Monument will be on your right.

Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, start by taking a bus to Albuquerque from your location in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Once in Albuquerque, transfer to the ABQ RIDE bus service. Take the 66 or 155 bus line towards the west side of the city. Get off at the stop nearest to 98th St NW. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Petroglyph National Monument. Make sure to check bus schedules and routes ahead of time as they may vary.

For those who prefer cycling, start from any location in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and head towards Albuquerque via NM-68 S. Once in Albuquerque, use the city's bike lanes and paths to navigate towards Western Trail NW. It's approximately a 30-mile ride to reach Petroglyph National Monument, so ensure you're prepared for the distance. Remember to wear a helmet and have a bike lock handy.
