    If you are starting from the Socorro Plaza, head northeast on New Mexico Highway 1 (also known as California Street) towards the intersection with 5th Street. This is about a 10-minute walk. Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto 5th Street and continue walking for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Church Street. At this point, turn right onto Church Street. Continue on Church Street for about another 0.2 miles until you reach the Elfego Baca Heritage Park, which will be on your left.
