Walking
From the center of Truth or Consequences, head south on Main Street toward the intersection with 4th Avenue. Continue on Main Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-62. Turn right onto US-62 (N. Broadway Street) and follow it for about 2 miles. Look for signs for Elephant Butte Lake State Park. As you approach the park entrance, keep an eye out for the Lions Beach Campground sign, which will be to your left. The campground is located within Elephant Butte Lake State Park, so ensure you have any necessary park entrance fees ready.

Starting from the Truth or Consequences Civic Center, head east on 3rd Avenue until you reach Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue for about 1 mile. When you reach US-62 (N.
