Walking
If you are starting from the center of Truth or Consequences, head west on Main Street towards the intersection with Date Street. Continue straight on Main Street for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with Highway 181. Cross the highway carefully at the designated crosswalk, and then continue walking straight on Main Street, which will turn into a dirt road. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 miles until you see the sign for South Monticello Campground on your left. The campground is located just off the main road, so keep an eye out for the entrance.

Begin your journey in the center of Truth or Consequences by riding your bicycle west on Main Street. After about half a mile, you will reach the intersection with Highway 181. Use the bike lane to safely cross the highway. Once across, continue straight on Main Street, which will transition into a dirt road. Cycle along this road for about 1.5 miles, enjoying the scenic surroundings. Look for the entrance to South Monticello Campground on your left. Remember to watch for traffic as you approach the campground entrance.
