Getting There

  • Car

    To reach Sandia Peak Tramway from Turquoise Trail by car, head south on NM-14 towards Albuquerque. After approximately 20 miles, merge onto I-40 E. Continue on I-40 for about 7 miles and take exit 165B for Tramway Blvd. Continue north on Tramway Blvd for about 6 miles until you reach 30 Tramway Rd NE. The tramway entrance will be on your right. Parking is available on-site, and there may be a parking fee depending on the season.

  • Public Transportation

    If you're using public transportation, first take the NM Rail Runner Express from a station in Turquoise Trail (such as the Sandia Park station) heading towards Albuquerque. Once you arrive at the Alvarado Transportation Center in downtown Albuquerque, transfer to the ABQ RIDE Bus Route 2 (towards Tramway and Central). The bus will take you along Central Ave and Tramway Blvd to the tramway entrance at 30 Tramway Rd NE. Check the bus schedule in advance, as timings may vary. There is a fare for the Rail Runner and a separate fare for the bus.
