Car
From the center of Lake Placid, head southwest on NY-73 S for about 16 miles until you reach Keene Valley. Turn right onto Ausable Road and continue for approximately 0.5 miles. The Indian Head Trailhead will be on your left. Parking is available, but be aware that there may be a small fee for parking in some areas.
Public Transportation
Take the Adirondack Trailways bus from various locations in New York to Keene Valley. Upon arriving in Keene Valley, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Indian Head Trailhead located at 24 Ausable Rd, which is about 1 mile away from the bus stop. Please note that public transportation options may be limited, so check the schedule in advance.
Hiking
If you are already in the area and prefer hiking, you can access the Indian Head Trail from the nearby Keene Valley trails. Follow the marked trails leading from the surrounding areas towards the Indian Head Trailhead. Make sure to have a map or GPS device for navigation, as the trails can be complex.
