If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Lake Placid which is about 15 miles north of Gothics. Take NY-73 W from Lake Placid towards Keene. Follow NY-73 for approximately 12 miles until you reach the junction with NY-9N in Keene. Turn right onto NY-9N and continue south for about 3 miles. Look for signs indicating the 'Gothics Trailhead' which will be located on your right off of the roadway. There are limited parking spaces available at the trailhead, and a parking fee may apply, so be sure to bring cash.

For those relying on public transportation, take the Adirondack Transit bus from Lake Placid to Keene. The bus departs from the main station in Lake Placid and travels to Keene, which is approximately a 30-minute ride. Once in Keene, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you the remaining 3 miles to the Gothics Trailhead. Be sure to check the local bus schedule in advance as services may be limited, especially on weekends or holidays.
