Getting There

Bus
From downtown Buffalo, walk to the Buffalo Metropolitan Transportation Center located at 181 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203. Once there, take the NFTA Metro Bus #40 (Niagara Falls route). The bus will take you directly to the Niagara Falls area. After approximately 30-40 minutes, get off at the stop for Goat Island, which is the closest stop to the Cave of the Winds. From the bus stop, walk towards the entrance of Niagara Falls State Park and follow the signs to the Cave of the Winds.

Train and Shuttle
Start at the Buffalo Depew Amtrak station located at 55 Dick Rd, Depew, NY 14043. Take an Amtrak train towards Niagara Falls, NY. Upon arrival at the Niagara Falls train station, exit the station and look for the local shuttle service that takes visitors to various attractions, including the Cave of the Winds. The shuttle ride will take about 15 minutes. Make sure to confirm that the shuttle stops at Goat Island.
