From downtown Buffalo, head to the nearest bus station, such as the NFTA Metro Bus Terminal located at 181 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY. Take the NFTA Metro Bus Route 40 (Niagara Falls) towards Niagara Falls. Make sure to check the schedule for the most current times. The bus will take you directly towards Niagara Falls. Once you arrive at the Niagara Falls visitor center, follow the signs toward the Horseshoe Falls, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

From Buffalo, you can take an Amtrak train from the Buffalo-Exchange Street Station. Board the train to Niagara Falls, NY. Upon arrival at the Niagara Falls station, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Horseshoe Falls, which is about a 10-minute drive from the station. Alternatively, follow local maps for walking directions which take approximately 30-40 minutes.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Buffalo. Start at the Buffalo waterfront and follow the scenic bike paths along the Niagara River. The ride to Niagara Falls is around 20 miles and can take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Follow the bike paths that lead toward the Niagara Parkway in Canada, which will take you directly to Horseshoe Falls.

If you're feeling adventurous and are already in the vicinity of Niagara Falls, you can take a long walk. Start from the Niagara Falls Visitor Center and head towards the Niagara Parkway.
