Getting There

• Bus

  From downtown Buffalo, head to the NFTA Metro Bus Terminal at 181 Ellicott St. Take the #40 bus towards 'Niagara Falls'. Stay on the bus for about 40 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Niagara Falls State Park'. From there, transfer to the #55 bus towards 'Queenston'. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the Queenston Heights stop. The Laura Secord Monument is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Head north on Queenston Street and follow the signs to the monument located in the park.

• Train

  Begin your journey at the Buffalo Exchange Street Station for Amtrak. Board the train towards 'Niagara Falls'. The train ride lasts around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Niagara Falls Station, exit and look for the local bus stop. Take the #55 bus towards 'Queenston'. After about 15 minutes, disembark at the Queenston Heights stop. Walk 5 minutes north on Queenston Street to reach the Laura Secord Monument, which is situated in the park.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Buffalo. Start your ride towards the Niagara River Greenway Trail, which runs along the river. Follow the trail north for about 12 miles (19 km) until you reach Queenston. Once you arrive in Queenston, navigate to the Queenston Heights Park. The Laura Secord Monument is located within the park, just a short ride from the main entrance.

• Walking

  If you are adventurous and enjoy walking, you can take a long stroll from Buffalo to Queenston, which is about 20 miles (32 km). Start at the Buffalo waterfront and follow the pedestrian paths along the Niagara River. This route may take several hours, so ensure you wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated. Upon reaching Queenston, navigate towards Queenston Heights Park, where the Laura Secord Monument is located.
