Car
If you're driving from any location in the Hudson Valley, take the NY-32 S or NY-9W S towards Saugerties. Follow the signs for Saugerties and exit onto Route 212. Once in Saugerties, turn onto Lighthouse Drive, which leads directly to the Saugerties Lighthouse. There is a small parking area available for visitors near the entrance to the walking path that leads to the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take the Trailways bus from New York City to Saugerties. The bus will drop you off at the Trailways bus station in Saugerties. From there, you can either walk (about 2.5 miles) or take a taxi or rideshare service to Lighthouse Drive. If walking, head south on NY-32, take a left onto Route 212, and then a right onto Lighthouse Drive to reach the lighthouse.
Walking
Once you have parked your car or arrived at the bus station in Saugerties, you will need to walk a short distance to reach the lighthouse. From the parking area, follow the well-marked path that leads through the scenic area along the Hudson River. The walk is approximately 0.5 miles and is suitable for all ages, offering beautiful views of the river along the way.
