    If you are driving from the main area of Hunter Mountain, start by heading southwest on Main St toward NY-23A. Continue for about 4 miles. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto NY-23A E. After about 3 miles, merge onto NY-28 N. Continue on NY-28 for approximately 7 miles. The Catskills Visitor Center will be on your right at 5096 NY-28, Mt Tremper, NY 12457.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Catskills Visitor Center using public transportation, take the Trailways bus from Hunter Mountain to the nearest stop, which is in Phoenicia. Once you arrive in Phoenicia, transfer to the Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT) bus route 2 heading towards Kingston. Get off at the stop closest to the Visitor Center, then walk about 0.5 miles along NY-28; the Catskills Visitor Center will be on your left at 5096 NY-28, Mt Tremper, NY 12457.
