    Getting There

    Car

    If you are driving, start from the center of Woodstock, NY. Head south on NY-375 E for about 2.5 miles, then turn right onto NY-28 W. Continue on NY-28 W for approximately 9 miles. You will see the Catskills Visitor Center on your right at 5096 NY-28, Mt Tremper, NY 12457. Look for the large sign indicating the visitor center.

    Public Transportation

    To reach the Catskills Visitor Center via public transportation, take the Trailways bus from New York City to Kingston, NY. Once in Kingston, transfer to the Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT) bus heading towards Phoenicia. Get off at the stop nearest to the intersection of NY-28 and the Catskills Visitor Center. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk; head west on NY-28 until you see the visitor center on your left at 5096 NY-28.

    Car

    From Hunter Mountain area, take NY-23A E towards Tannersville. After about 9 miles, merge onto NY-28 E. Continue for approximately 10 miles, passing through the town of Phoenicia. The Catskills Visitor Center will be on your left at 5096 NY-28, Mt Tremper, NY 12457.

    If you are coming from the city of Kingston, take NY-32 N out of Kingston. After about 7 miles, turn left onto NY-28 W. Continue for about 10 miles, and you will find the Catskills Visitor Center on your right at 5096 NY-28, Mt Tremper, NY 12457.
