Car
From Hunter Mountain, head south on Route 23A towards Tannersville. Continue straight onto Route 32 South until you reach the intersection with Route 44/55. Turn right onto Route 44/55. Follow Route 44/55 for approximately 15 miles. The Mohonk Preserve entrance will be on your left at 3197 Route 44 55, Gardiner, NY 12525. There is a parking fee of $15 for non-members.
Public Transportation
Take the Trailways bus from Hunter Mountain to New Paltz (check the Trailways schedule for times). From New Paltz, take the Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT) bus service, Route 4, towards Gardiner. Get off at the nearest stop to Mohonk Preserve, which is near the intersection of Route 44/55. The entrance to Mohonk Preserve is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedules for the return trip as well.
