From Hunter Mountain, start by heading southeast on NY-23A E. Follow this road for about 7 miles until you reach the junction with NY-214. Turn left onto NY-214 N and continue for approximately 3 miles. You will then come to a fork; stay right to stay on NY-214 N. After about 1.5 miles, turn left onto County Road 42. Continue on County Road 42 for about 2 miles. This will bring you closer to the base of Cornell Mountain. Look for parking areas near the trailhead.
