From Hunter Mountain, head south on NY-23A for approximately 3 miles. Continue on NY-23A until you reach the intersection with NY-214. Turn left onto NY-214 and follow it for about 6 miles. Look for Halcott Center Road on your right. Turn right onto Halcott Center Road and continue for approximately 2 miles until you reach the parking area at the base of Vly Mountain. Note that parking may incur a small fee depending on the time of year.

Start at the Hunter Mountain resort and take the local bus service (Catskill Mountain Shuttle) to Tannersville. From Tannersville, you will need to transfer to a taxi or rideshare service to Halcott Center Road, as public transport does not go directly to the mountain.
