Walking
If you are starting from the Cornell University campus, head south on East Avenue toward the intersection with Campus Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Pleasant Street. Turn right on Pleasant Street, then take the next left onto East State Street. Follow East State Street for about half a mile, and you will find the Ithaca Downtown Historic District at 128 E State St. Look for the historical markers and signage along the way.
Public Transit
From the Ithaca Commons, you can take the TCAT bus service. Board any bus heading toward the Downtown area, specifically routes 11 or 30, which frequently service the area. After a short ride, get off at the stop near the intersection of East State Street and South Cayuga Street. Walk east on State Street for a couple of blocks, and you will arrive at 128 E State St, where the Ithaca Downtown Historic District is located.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services. Start from the Ithaca Commons and head south on Cayuga Street. Continue straight until you reach East State Street. Turn left onto East State Street and bike for about 0.5 miles. The Ithaca Downtown Historic District will be on your right at 128 E State St. Make sure to follow the bike lanes and watch for pedestrian traffic.
