Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Yonkers, NY. From the center of the Leatherstocking Region, merge onto I-87 S (Adirondack Northway) and continue for approximately 50 miles. Take the exit for I-287 E toward White Plains, then merge onto Bronx River Parkway. Exit at Jackson Ave. Continue on Jackson Ave for about half a mile, and you will see Sprain Ridge Park on your left at 149 Jackson Ave, Yonkers, NY 10706. Parking is available on-site, but check for any parking fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Sprain Ridge Park using public transportation, first locate the nearest Metro-North Railroad station in the Leatherstocking Region. Take the train southbound towards Grand Central Terminal. Transfer to the Hudson Line and disembark at the Yonkers station. From the Yonkers station, you can take the Bee-Line Bus #1 or #2 towards Jackson Ave. Get off at the nearest stop to Jackson Ave and walk a short distance to the park entrance located at 149 Jackson Ave, Yonkers, NY 10706.
