Train
From New York City, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from Penn Station to the Oakdale station. Make sure to check the LIRR schedule for trains heading towards the Montauk Branch. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Oakdale station, exit the train and head towards the bus stop located outside the station.
Bus
From the Oakdale station, take the Suffolk County Transit Bus S40 towards Bay Shore. After a 10-minute ride, get off at the stop for Montauk Highway and Oakdale Avenue. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes down Montauk Highway (Route 27) in the direction of Oakdale. You will find Bourne Mansion located at 500 Montauk Hwy, Oakdale, NY 11769 on your left.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Bourne Mansion. Head towards Montauk Highway (Route 27) and walk east. Continue walking for about 15-20 minutes, and you will see the mansion at 500 Montauk Hwy, Oakdale, NY 11769 on your left. The route offers a scenic view of the area.
