    From the Poughkeepsie Train Station, exit onto Main Street and head south. Walk along Main Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Route 9. At this point, you can catch the Metro-North Railroad train from Poughkeepsie to Beacon Station. The train ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Beacon Station, exit the station and head towards Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with Route 52. Here, you can take the Dutchess County Public Transit bus (Route 10) towards Fishkill. Get off at Fishkill, NY, and from there, you can walk towards Beacon Mountain, which is located approximately 1 mile away. Follow the signs to the trailhead.

Once you arrive in Fishkill, you can walk to Beacon Mountain by heading east on Route 52 for about 1 mile until you reach the trailhead. Look for signs directing you to the mountain trail.
