Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading south on NY-12E from the Thousand Islands region. Continue on NY-12E for approximately 20 miles until you reach the town of Sackets Harbor. As you approach, take the exit for NY-3 towards Sackets Harbor. Follow NY-3 into the town center, and then turn right onto W Main St. The Sackets Harbor Battlefield will be located on your left at 504 W Main St, Sackets Harbor, NY 13685. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from the nearby city of Watertown, which operates services to Sackets Harbor. Board the bus at the Watertown Bus Station and ensure you check the schedule for the correct times, as services may be limited. Once you arrive in Sackets Harbor, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach the Sackets Harbor Battlefield. Head south on S Main St, then turn left onto W Main St until you reach the battlefield at 504 W Main St. Be prepared for a short walk, and consider wearing comfortable shoes.
Bicycle
If you're looking for a more active approach, biking is a great option. Starting from the Thousand Islands area, you can bike along NY-12E, which is scenic but be cautious of traffic. The total distance is about 20 miles, so ensure your bike is in good condition and you have plenty of water. Once in Sackets Harbor, navigate to W Main St, where the Sackets Harbor Battlefield is located at 504 W Main St. There are bike racks available for secure parking.
