Train
From White Plains, head to the White Plains Metro-North Train Station located at 1 Rinaldi Blvd, White Plains, NY 10601. Board a southbound train on the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, exit the station and take the S (shuttle) train towards Times Square-42nd Street. Get off at Times Square-42nd Street and transfer to the 1, 2, or 3 subway lines at the same station. Take the 1 train heading downtown to 50th Street Station. Once you exit the train, walk east on 50th Street until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn left (north) and walk until you reach Central Park South. Turn right, and Gapstow Bridge will be located within the park to your right.

Bus
From White Plains, take the Westchester County Bee-Line Bus #60 from the White Plains Bus Terminal located at 11 Ferris Ave, White Plains, NY 10601. This bus goes directly to the Bronx, but you will get off at the last stop in Manhattan, which is at 6th Avenue and 42nd Street. From there, walk east to 5th Avenue and then walk north until you reach Central Park South. Turn right into the park, and you will find Gapstow Bridge to your right.

If you prefer to walk, head from White Plains to the White Plains Metro-North Train Station and take the same route as mentioned above. Alternatively, you can walk to the White Plains Metro-North Train Station and take the train to Grand Central Terminal. From Grand Central, walk west to 42nd Street and then take the 1 subway line heading downtown to 50th Street. After exiting the subway, walk east to 5th Avenue, then turn left and walk to Central Park South. Once there, turn right into the park to reach Gapstow Bridge.
