Getting There

  • PATH Train

    To reach Hallett Nature Sanctuary from Jersey City, head to the PATH train station at Exchange Place or Grove Street. Take the PATH train towards 33rd Street in Manhattan. Get off at the 33rd Street station. From there, transfer to the subway by following the signs to the subway entrance. Take the downtown R train from 34th Street-Herald Square station towards Bay Ridge-95th Street. Get off at 49th Street station. Walk north on 6th Avenue until you reach Central Park South. The Hallett Nature Sanctuary entrance will be on your right.

  • Bus

    You can take the NJ Transit bus from various stops in Jersey City. Catch the 119 bus towards New York Port Authority from any of the bus stops like Journal Square or other locations. Once you arrive at Port Authority, exit the bus terminal and walk to 42nd Street. Here, catch the R train at 42nd Street-Times Square station heading towards Bay Ridge-95th Street. Get off at the 49th Street stop. From there, head north on 6th Avenue to Central Park South, where you will find the entrance to Hallett Nature Sanctuary on your right.

  • Ferry

    Begin your journey by taking the Liberty Landing Ferry from Liberty State Park in Jersey City to Manhattan. Once you arrive at the World Financial Center, walk towards the Oculus and then head to the subway entrance. Take the E train from the World Trade Center to 42nd Street-Port Authority. Transfer to the R train and head to 49th Street. After exiting the train, walk north along 6th Avenue until you reach Central Park South, where Hallett Nature Sanctuary will be located on your right.
