Subway
From White Plains, head to the White Plains Metro-North train station. Board a train heading to Grand Central Terminal. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, follow the signs to the subway and take the 4, 5, 6, or 7 train to 14th Street Union Square. Transfer to the L train towards Brooklyn and get off at 3rd Avenue. Walk east for about 5 minutes until you reach 828 Broadway, Strand Book Store will be on your left.

From White Plains, find the Westchester County Bee-Line Bus System. Take the BxM3 express bus towards Manhattan, which will take you directly to 42nd Street and 5th Avenue. From there, walk south on 5th Avenue to 14th Street. Turn right onto 14th Street and walk for about 5 blocks until you reach Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway, and after walking a short distance, you will find Strand Book Store at 828 Broadway on your left.

If you are already in downtown White Plains, you can enjoy a scenic walk to the Metro-North train station. Head towards Main Street and take a left onto Mamaroneck Avenue. Continue walking until you reach the train station. Once there, board a train heading to Grand Central Terminal, and follow the subway directions as mentioned above.
