    Start by walking to the White Plains Metro-North station located at 1 Railroad Avenue, White Plains, NY 10601. From there, take the Harlem Line train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey will take about 30-35 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, transfer to the 7 subway line toward Flushing. Get off at the 42nd Street - Times Square station and transfer to the 1 subway line, heading toward South Ferry. Ride the 1 subway line for about 10 stops until you reach the 72nd Street station. After exiting the station, walk west on 72nd Street for about 2 blocks until you reach The Dakota located at 1 W 72nd St.
