Getting There

  • Bus

    From Yonkers, head to the nearest bus stop on S Broadway. Take the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards Mount Vernon, and get off at the stop at Main St @ Warburton Ave. From there, transfer to the Metro-North Hudson Line at Yonkers Station. Take a train towards Grand Central Terminal, and get off at the 125th Street Station. Change to the A train towards Far Rockaway at 125th Street Subway Station. Ride for 5 stops and get off at High St. Station. Finally, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Brooklyn Bridge Park.

  • Train

    Make your way to the Yonkers Metro-North Train Station. Board a Hudson Line train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Grand Central Terminal Station. From Grand Central, follow the signs to the subway and take the 4 or 5 train downtown towards Brooklyn. Transfer at Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station. After exiting the station, walk west for about 10 minutes to arrive at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

    If you are nearby downtown Yonkers, you can walk to the waterfront area. Head towards the Hudson River, walk along the riverfront path, and keep going south. This will take you through waterfront parks and eventually lead you to the Yonkers Pier. From there, continue walking south along the river, which will eventually connect to the Brooklyn waterfront area and lead you to Brooklyn Bridge Park.

    Rent a bicycle from a local bike shop in Yonkers. Start your ride heading towards the Hudson River, following the scenic riverfront. You can take the South County Trailway which runs alongside the river. Continue heading south, and it will eventually lead you into Brooklyn. Once you reach the Brooklyn Bridge area, follow the signs directing you to Brooklyn Bridge Park.
