From the Yonkers Metro-North train station, take the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards the Bronx. Get off at the stop at 5th Avenue and 125th Street. From there, walk south on 5th Avenue for about 5 blocks. The Museum of the City of New York will be on your left at 1220 5th Ave. The total travel time will be approximately 40 minutes.

Take the Metro-North Hudson Line train from Yonkers station to Grand Central Terminal. Once at Grand Central, transfer to the 4, 5, or 6 subway lines. Take the 6 train uptown towards Pelham Bay Park and get off at the 103rd Street Station. Walk east to 5th Avenue and then head south for a few blocks until you reach the Museum of the City of New York at 1220 5th Ave. This journey may take around 1 hour and 10 minutes.
