Subway

From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North Station. Take the Hudson Line train heading towards Grand Central. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the 125th Street Station in Manhattan. From there, transfer to the A, C, or D subway lines heading downtown. Get off at the 59th Street - Columbus Circle Station and transfer to the B or Q subway lines. Take the B or Q subway towards Brighton Beach and get off at the Prospect Park Station. From the station, walk east on Flatbush Ave for about 10 minutes until you reach Prospect Park Zoo at 450 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225.
Bus

From the Yonkers downtown area, head to the nearest bus stop for the Bee-Line Bus System. Take the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards New York City. Stay on the bus for about 30-40 minutes, then get off at the bus stop at Flatbush Avenue and Empire Boulevard. From there, walk south on Flatbush Ave for about 5 minutes until you reach Prospect Park Zoo, located at 450 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225.
Walking

If you are near the Yonkers Waterfront, you can walk to the nearest Metro-North train station. After reaching the station, follow the subway instructions provided above. Alternatively, if you are comfortable walking longer distances, you can explore the scenic waterfront park and enjoy a leisurely stroll towards the train station before heading to Brooklyn.
Combination of Walking and Subway

Start at the Yonkers Metro-North Station and take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central. Once you arrive at Grand Central, transfer to the 4, 5, 6 trains towards Brooklyn. Get off at the Atlantic Avenue - Barclays Center Station. From here, transfer to the Q train and head towards Brighton Beach. Get off at the Prospect Park Station and walk east on Flatbush Ave for about 10 minutes until you arrive at Prospect Park Zoo located at 450 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225.
