    Subway

    To reach Tompkins Square Park from Yonkers, start by taking the Metro-North Railroad from Yonkers Station to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Once you arrive at Grand Central, follow the signs to the Subway. Take the 6 train (green line) towards Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. After 7 stops, get off at Astor Place station. Exit the station and walk east on Astor Place until you reach 10th Street. From there, turn left onto E 10th St, and you will find Tompkins Square Park on your right.

    Bus

    From Yonkers, you can take the Bee-Line Bus #1 or #2 (check the schedule for timings) towards the Bronx. Get off at the last stop, which is the Yonkers Riverfront. Then, transfer to the MTA bus M15 (select either local or express). Ride the M15 for approximately 45 minutes, getting off at E 10th St & 1st Ave. From there, walk west on E 10th St, and Tompkins Square Park will be on your left.
