Train
From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North train station located at 5 Station Plaza. Purchase a ticket for the Metro-North Railroad heading towards Grand Central Terminal. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit.
Subway
After exiting Grand Central Terminal, walk to the 42nd Street-Bryant Park subway station. Take the B, D, F, or M train downtown towards Brooklyn. Get off at 34th Street-Herald Square station and transfer to the N, Q, R, or W train at the same station. Continue downtown and get off at 14th Street-Union Square station. Exit the station and walk north on Union Square West until you reach the Union Square Greenmarket at Union Square W & E 17th St.
Bus
From Yonkers, you can take the Bee-Line Bus #1 or #2 towards the Bronx. Get off at the last stop and transfer to the MTA Bus B61 or B62. Take the bus towards Downtown Brooklyn and get off at the stop closest to Union Square. Walk north on Union Square West to reach the Union Square Greenmarket located at Union Square W & E 17th St.
