Walking
From the Devonport Ferry Terminal, exit and head straight onto Victoria Road. Walk along Victoria Road for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Church Street. Turn left onto Church Street, and continue walking until you reach the end of the street where it meets the North Head Historic Reserve entrance.

Once you enter North Head Historic Reserve, follow the signs leading to The Summit. The path will take you through some historic military installations. Continue along the well-marked trails for about 10-15 minutes. The Summit is located at the highest point of North Head, offering fantastic views.

Public Transport
If you are near the Devonport Village area, you can take bus number 883 from the Devonport Wharf stop. The bus will take you closer to the North Head Historic Reserve. Get off at the North Head stop and follow the walking path to The Summit. Note that the bus fare is approximately NZD 2.50 to NZD 5.00 depending on your travel zone.
