Walking
From the Devonport ferry terminal, exit onto Victoria Road. Turn left and walk along Victoria Road until you reach the intersection with Church Street. Continue straight onto Church Street, which will lead you to the main shopping area of Devonport. Keep walking until you reach the end of Church Street, where it meets King Edward Parade. At this point, turn right and follow King Edward Parade along the waterfront. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the entrance to Maungauika/North Head Historic Walk. Follow the path up to Old Guns Never Die, which is located at the summit.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Devonport ferry terminal, walk to the nearby bus stop at Victoria Road and Wynyard Street. Catch bus number 804 or 810 towards Takapuna. Ride the bus for approximately 10 minutes and get off at the North Head Historic Reserve stop. From the bus stop, walk up the path towards the North Head Historic Reserve, which will lead you directly to Old Guns Never Die. Please note that the bus fare is approximately NZD 3-5, depending on your destination.
